Conditions were desperate on the hurdles course at Clonmel on March 21st and it was an advantage to race wide on the better ground. CONYERS HILL was the eyecatcher in 2m maiden hurdle that day, keeping on well into a close-up third on his debut for Paul Nolan despite challenging on the inside rail in the home straight. He looks worth supporting each-way over the same course and distance this evening.

ATHMAD just missed out when a 2pt win bet for me at Wolverhampton last time, going down by a head to Double Time after trading at 1.06 in running. He now has form figures of 112 (2-3) on Tapeta since the blinkers were re-applied and the Ruth Carr yard remains in fine fettle. He’s drawn a little higher than ideal in stall 9 but is still worth an each-way interest.
