4.15 Catterick – VADAMIAH (2pt win – 15/8 Bet365, 6/4 generally)
I took a chance and bet VADAMIAH at York’s Ebor meeting on her first start following a wind operation, but she could only finish 11th of the 14 runners, albeit when 33-1 for a hot Class 2 fillies’ handicap. Paul Midgley’s four-year-old was a big eyecatcher at Musselburgh on her first start this term, finishing a 14-1 fifth of 16 and doing clear best of those to help force a very strong early pace (six of the first seven home came from off the pace). I wrote her up after that run, suggesting that she’d benefit from a return to Catterick where she’s scored on three of her last four visits and she’s going to take some catching today. She was well found when the betting first opened but is drifting back out on Betfair (3.4 as of 7am, compared to the best-priced bookie offer of 2.88) and, if you don’t have access to a best odds guaranteed account, taking Betfair SP might be the best angle.
