4.30 Leicester – JUST JANET (1pt E/W – 8/1 Bet365, 7/1 generally)
This race looks very playable as 9-4 favourite Destined is poorly drawn in stall 8 of 9 and 3-1 second favourite Musical Tribute has yet to win a race and may have been flattered by her Salisbury third earlier this month when the first three finishers were drawn 2, 1 and 3 of 10. The best alternative looks to be JUST JANET, a daughter of Zoustar whose progeny have a fine record over today’s 6f trip. It should pay to forgive her comeback defeat at Pontefract and she’s an each-way price.
4.55 Redcar – REVOQUABLE (1pt E/W – 10/1 generally)
REVOQUABLE was only eighth of 11 in a 7f handicap at Redcar when we last saw him in action in mid-April, but he had the worst of the draw in stall 11 that day and the run is easily excused. Tim Easterby’s four-year-old won’t be inconvenienced by the step back up to 1m – he went into my tracker after a solid sixth against the pace bias over this trip at Southwell back in January – and he’s well drawn in stall 3 today. He’s hardly prolific, scoring just once from 17 career outings but looks worth an each-way dabble at double-figure odds.
