Karl Burke’s ORCHARD PARK went off at 14-1 from the overnight 4-1 when making her debut in a 5f maiden at Southwell last month but ran a fine race behind her stablemate Indicate, who went off as the 6-5 favourite. The daughter of Showcasing dwelt at the start, was squeezed out when trying to recover and became unbalanced when switching for a run just over one furlong out. She kept on well to finishing two lengths back, a highly encouraging effort given how green she was. The time was good, and she can reverse the form with the runner-up Moonstone Boy, who has now finished second on his last four starts. Since the beginning of 2010, her trainer has an 18 from 72 record with his all-weather runners who were having their second career start and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £112.53 to a £1 level stake at SP.
