12.00 Lingfield – NAMMOS (1pt win – 9/1 generally)
NAMMOS finished second in a pair of 6f novice contests on turf for Hugo Palmer before struggling to see out 1m in a £126k to the winner contest at Longchamp in October 2022. The filly has joined Jane Chapple-Hyam and had a wind operation since we last saw her and her new handler is 20 from 117 in handicaps at the first time of asking with horses she takes over from other yards (since 2010) for a profit of £96.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who were off the track for 150 days or longer were ten from 42 for a profit of £98.25.
1.50 Exeter – HONNEUR D’AJONC (1pt win – 11/2 generally)
The Jane Williams-trained HONNEUR D’AJONC pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Wincanton on his reappearance last month but he could be worth chancing on his return to fences. The six-year-old wears cheekpieces for the first time which has been a positive angle for the stable in chase company, with four of the eight qualifiers scoring since the beginning of 2018 for a profit of £32.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. Two of the beaten horses finished second (the other two fell) and Honneur D’Ajonc was a winner off this mark at Hereford last January.
