WETHERBY 3.10
SAO – 1pt win (7/1 bet365, 11/2 generally)

SAO was well backed ahead of his reappearance at Aintree 18 days agp, but he was never going after an early mistake and came home last of the six runners, 26 lengths behind the winner. Aside from seasonal debuts, his record on officially soft or heavy going in Britain stands at 22F111 (3-6), improving to F111 (3-4) for current trainer Rebecca Menzies, and he’s worth chancing to bounce back.

DUNDALK 5.30
HOLDING ACES – 1pt win (20/1 generally)

HOLDING ACES took a step in the right direction when a 28-1 seventh of 14 in division two of the 1m2f handicap at Dundalk last week, doing really well to finish just over three behind the winner after challenging closest to the ‘dead’ rail. He better berthed (stall 9) today and, with luck, Wayne Lordan will challenge centre to nearside this time.
