Henry Daly’s eight-year-old might need today’s reappearance run on his return to hurdles but form figures in single-figure line-ups of 31211211321 (six wins from 11 starts, +£33.50 to a £1 level stake at SP) suggest he’s worth chancing to small stakes.

ARAMIS GREY did this column a good turn when winning well over course and distance last week and is well drawn again. Her patient style is better suited to tonight’s venue than Chelmsford – scene of the majority of her all-weather runs – and last week’s win took her record here to 121 (2-3), with the defeat by half a length over 7f, a trip that stretches her stamina. She’s well drawn again tonight and should be thereabouts.
STRIKE RED was only fifth to Aramis Grey over trip and track last week but had the worst of the draw in stall 11 (first six drawn 3, 4, 1, 2, 11 and 5) and lost ground after being switched to the inside rail in the early stages. He did well to finish less than two lengths behind the winner, leaving the impression that he would have been closer from a lower draw. He’s better berthed in stall 5 of 12 tonight and looks set to go close.
