Ayr Racing Tips (Wednesday 20 May 2026)
Andrew’s selection runs in class 6 company at Ayr, with his tip north of the border running in the second race on their card.
2.12 Ayr – Canaria Sun (0.5pt e/w – 12/1 bet365, 888sport, 11/1 generally)
Canaria Sun is a nine-race maiden but has run two solid races this term, finishing an 11-1 fourth of 17 on his reappearance at Thirsk (albeit from a favourable draw) before his third place at Redcar where doing best of the duo who raced far side when it was a big advantage to take the stands; side route. That effort was backed up by a useful speed figure (the second-best last time out figure in this line-up according to Proform) and a first win could be just around the corner for |Tim Easterby’s four-year-old. He’s been ridden patiently the last twice but has made the running on couple of occasions, and a return to those tactics could help in a race lacking obvious pace angles.
Kempton Racing Tips (Wednesday 20 May 2026)
Kempton’s all-weather card runs right through the evening on Wednesday. Andrew’s tip runs in the penultimate contest of the day.
8.30 Kempton – Change Sings (1pt win – 11/4 bet354, 5/2 generally)
Change Sings could only finish a 9-2 fifth of nine at Windsor on his latest start but we were in ‘dead’ rail territory in that 6f Class 3 handicap and Eve Johnson Houghton’s six-year-old did too much too soon in the ‘swamp’ when it paid to challenge late and wide. The son of Saxon Warrior had caught the eye at Newbury on his penultimate start, doing second best of the stands’ side bunch when sixth of 16 in a hot Class 3 handicap. His Windsor run took his turf score to just one win from 14 outings, and he’ll be happier back on the all-weather, having landed four of his nine such starts including Kempton form figures of 11133 (3-5). Those course figures improve to 111 (3-3) below Class 3 level and he drops down into a Class 4 contest tonight.
