Beverley Racing Tips (Wednesday 27 May 2026)
There are seven races at Beverley on Wednesday, with Andrew’s selection running in the middle contest at 3.45pm.
3.45 Beverley – Mao Shang Wong (1pt win – 6/1 bet365, 11/2 generally)
The form of Star Cast’s 1m2f Newcastle win on May 1st is working out well with the winner following up at Ripon and 25-1 fourth Jack Sparowe recording a comfortable 9-1 win at Yarmouth. Free Speech, over five lengths behind the winner in sixth place, was only beaten by a head at Wolverhampton next time (12-1) while eight-length tenth Sure And Steadfast finished a close-up 14-1 third at Hamilton on his next outing. Today, it is the turn of David O’Meara’s Ma Shang Wong, who was just over six lengths behind the winner when eighth in that Wolverhampton contest. The four-year-old remains open to improvement after two outings on turf, running green when tenth of 15 on his debut at Thirsk last spring before a Doncaster win in late March.
Cartmel Racing Tips (Wednesday 27 May 2026)
Cartmel’s meeting begins an evening of jumps in Cumbria. Andrew’s selection runs in the fourth race on the card.

We enjoyed an each-way return with a Jimmy Moffatt-trained stable switcher when Masterminding (SP 12-1) ran second here on Bank Holiday Monday and I’m playing the same angle with the ex-Jamie Snowden Jack Sprat. The eight-year-old lost his way last season after his reappearance runner-up effort at Bangor but he looks well handicapped as a result and it’s interesting to see Isabelle Ryder, on board that day, back in the saddle. This century, Moffatt’s record in Cartmel handicaps at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards now stands at five winners from 29 runners for a profit of £23.00 to a £1 level stake at SP.
