Two horse racing fixtures take place in the UK on Sunday 14 June, as Doncaster and Salisbury provide a brace of flat meetings. Steve Chambers focuses on the two cards with Sunday’s Lucky 15 tips, and he picks out his best bets from both track here…
Doncaster Racing Tips (Sunday 14 June 2026)
Doncaster’s eight-race card begins at 2.00pm, with a 5.45pm finish. Here are Steve’s best bets from the Town Moor venue.
2.00 Doncaster – Tiger (1pt win – )
Yet to be victorious in Britain, Tiger is looking to break that duck for Ian Williams on Sunday. Lining up in the 2.00pm opener, the four-year-old has now dropped to an attractive mark and can finally get his head in front. Last seen finishing fourth at Goodwood, he’s been subsequently dropped 2lbs by the handicapper for that outing. He showed improvement in that Goodwood run, as he was stepped back up to a mile-and-a-half and it’s that trip that can see him blossom in this race. It’s a pretty low-key affair and Tiger looks ready to claim success.
5.45 Doncaster – Cosmic Clarets (1pt win – )
He showed ability in the early stages of his career, but Cosmic Clarets regressed dramatically at the end of last season. However, Richard Fahey’s son of Starman appears to have recaptured some form this season. Second on his comeback run at Newcastle, he then was runner-up again at Hamilton. Looking to go one better in the 5.45pm at Doncaster on Saturday, he looks capable of getting his head in front for the first time. He remains on the same mark of 65, so with the gelding operation appearing to have clearly worked then he can land the finale in style.
Salisbury Racing Tips (Sunday 14 June 2026)
Seven races make up Salisbury’s card with a 2.14pm start. We have another couple of tips from that fixture to conclude the Lucky 15 for Sunday.
2.44 Salisbury – Spirit Of Breeze (1pt win – )
Gary & Josh Moore’s Spirit Of Breeze was victorious on his last visit to Salisbury, where he won over Sunday’s race distance of 6f 213y. That success came off a mark of 55, and he does line up off 65 in this event. So, that is certainly going to be a notable challenge for the six-year-old. A winner at Lingfield two starts ago back in November, he’s had wind surgery since, which should improve his chances. Off bottom weight for this event, he will need a career best to record another win at the track, but he’s one that has the capabilities.
4.22 Salisbury – Primo Lara (1pt win – )
Jack Morland’s Primo Lara put in his best performance for a long time when chasing home A Major Payne at Nottingham earlier this month. Sent off 25/1 that day, he outran his odds to be beaten a neck. Given a notable 4lbs rise by the handicapper for that run, he’s back to a mark of 76 for the 4.22pm contest. A dual winner over this sort of trip, when trained by Jane Chapple-Hyamn, Primo Lara can build on that Nottingham run and defy top weight here.
