Ffos Las & Pontefract Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Monday 29 June

Andrew Mount looks to kick off a new week with a few winners and he has two selections for Ffos Las and Pontefract for the racing on Monday 29 June. Check out Andrew’s best bets below…

Ffos Las Racing Tips (Monday 29 June 2026)

There’s a seven race card at Ffos Las, with the action getting under way at 2.20pm. Andrew’s best bet lines up in the 3.22pm.

3.22 Ffos Las – All Ways Glamorous (1pt win 5/1 Sky Bet, Paddy Power, Betway, 9/2 generally)

All Ways Glamorous ran a very solid race on his comeback on May 1st, finishing a 13-2 third of 17 at Ascot, albeit from a useful draw, and he was too keen for his own good in first-time cheekpieces (left off today) when trailing home last of nine at Windsor on his next outing. That was in Class 2 company and Christopher Mason’s five-year-old will appreciate the return to Class 4 company today. He hit form at about this time of year last season, scoring at Chepstow on June 23rd before a second place at Lingfield in early July and his trainer’s colts/geldings have a great record in handicaps in recent years, with 33 winners from 191 bets (17.3% strike-rate) since the beginning of 2019 for a profit of £97.25 to a £1 level stake at SP (+£146.60 at Betfair SP after 2% commission). The expected numbers of winners, based on the Starting Price, was only 21.72, giving an actual over expected (A/E) figure of 1.52 (anything above 1.0 is good).

Pontefract Racing Tips (Monday 29 June 2026)

It’s a 2.30pm start at Pontefract for their seven-race card. Andrew has an each-way pick in the 4.30pm contest.

4.30 Pontefract – Without Flaw (1pt e/w – 10/1 bet365, 15/2 Hills, Ladbrokes)

Without Flaw looked unlucky when seventh of ten to Dandy Dinmont in a 5f Class 5 handicap at Beverley on her penultimate start, getting no daylight on the inside rail and receiving the Racing Post comment “prominent, lost position halfway, waiting for room 2f out, not clear run and dropped to rear 1f out, ran on final 110yds, not recover”. Fifth-placed Glory Hyde was also inconvenienced by taking the rail route that day (“in touch with leaders, waiting for room 2f out, not clear run 1f our, ran on final 110yds, did well in the circumstances”) and that one in unbeaten in three subsequent outings. I was happy to back Without Flaw on her next start at Thirsk where she went off as well-backed 7-2 chance in a 5f Class 6 handicap, but she had what turned out to be a poor draw in stall 1 of 12 (first three drawn 9, 8 and 11). That form has received some boosts with runner-up Harry Hole finishing second again at Bath, third home Toptime scoring at Nottingham, fifth-placed Keep The Gold (stall 3) finishing a 16-1 fourth at Ayr and the moderately drawn fifth, Beerwah (stall 5), winning at Nottingham. Tina Jackson’s five-year-old tends to come good at about this time of year -she has form figures in late June/July of 441448611 (3-9), improving to 11 (2-2) at 5f only, she’s well berthed in stall 1 and Jason Hart takes the ride for the first time.
