He sets a proper standard on 129 and, with William Buick up, is going to take plenty of stopping if reproducing the level of his latest placed effort. That said, this is not a complete penalty kick. Saber Strike is progressive and comes here with the profile of one still on the upgrade, while Shayem arrives off a win and is no back number on figures. The rest need to find a chunk, although Yazin is not one to dismiss lightly. Small field, but not a gimme.

Tribal Chief has obvious credentials and the tipsters have latched on, while Indalo arrives on an upward curve and Blue Brother looks dangerously well treated for a horse with smart back form. Cerulean Bay is another with the class to get involved, and Bunyola Bay is an interesting 3yo getting in light. It is a strong handicap rather than a weak renewal, but not one to overcomplicate: a well-drawn progressive type still appeals most.
