Gowran Racing Tips (Monday 1 June 2026)
Eight races begin at Gowran Park at 1.29pm, with Andrew’s best bet on the card lining up at 3.09pm.
3.09 Gowran Park – Spanish Temptress (1pt e/w – 15/2 888sport, 7/1 generally)
Spanish Temptress beat only a couple home in a huge field at the Curragh last time despite starting as the 7-2 second favourite but I’m prepared to forgive that effort. Richard O’Brien’s four-year-old has a poor record at the Curragh, finishing 8th of 14, 9th of 21, 16th of 23, 6th of 14 and 17th of 19 from his five visits. Since her racecourse debut, her record on turf away from the Curragh reads 2101132 (3-7), with the ‘duck egg’ at last year’s Galway Festival where she was poorly drawn and the latest runner-up effort by just a nose. Today’s extended 1m1f trip is new territory on the stamina front but she shapes as though it will suit.
Windsor Racing Tips (Monday 1 June 2026)
Windsor’s traditional Monday evening card takes place today and Andrew has opted for a selection in the opening contest at 5.05pm.
5.05 Windsor – Moulin Bouj (1pt win – 3/1 generally)
Moulin Bouj isn’t entirely straightforward but he’s run two good races from two runs in Windsor handicaps – a win and a best-of-the-closers hampered third of 13 (also lost a shoe) – and the drop back down to Class 4 level will suit after his last-of-six finish in Class 3 company at Bath last month. George Scott’s six-year-old seems happiest conceding weight to less rivals and his record in 5f Class 4 handicaps when in the first two in the weights 3212131221341 (5-13) for a profit of £9.96 to a £1 level stake at SP.
