Musselburgh Racing Tips (Sunday 26 April 2026)
Sunday’s racing at Musselbugh starts at 3.45pm, with seven races taking place throughout the late afternoon, early evening card. Three of our Lucky 15 selections line up at the Scottish venue.
3.45 Musselburgh – Madame De Sevigne (1pt win – 6/1)
John Butler’s Madame De Sevigne put in her best performance for a while last time out on the all-weather at Chelmsford City. Now, the five-year-old daughter of Night Of Thunder is looking to build on that effort on her return to the grass in the 3.45pm at Musselburgh. She’s only 1lb higher than her last winning mark, so if she can improve on that recent run then she has to be respected. With hugely exciting apprentice Jack Callan taking the ride then she can kick off the day at Musselburgh with a dominant victory.
5.15 Musselburgh – Hamlet’s Night (1pt win – 4/1)
Having struggled over hurdles on his last two outings, Hamlet’s Night returns to the Flat on Sunday for the 5.15pm race. Last seen finishing fifth in the Sussex Champion Hurdle at Plumpton, James Owen’s raider is looking to return to winning ways with a spin on the level. Last time he was seen in this discipline was at Kempton at February, where he was victorious. He’s only 4lbs higher in the handicap for Sunday’s contest and a mark of 80 looks well within his capabilities. The five-year-old faces some in-form rivals in this event, but he looks the one to beat.
6.15 Musselburgh – Alther Walden (1pt win – 6/4)
A facile 14-length winner of a Catterick novice event back in August, George Scott’s Alther Walden showed it wasn’t a shock when winning at Newcastle on his last effort. Looking to land the hat-trick in the 6.15pm contest, the flourishing four-year-old can duly continue his winning ways. He was upped another 6lbs by the handicapper for that win, but he shaped like there could be plenty more to come and a mark of 86 shouldn’t halt his progression.
Nottingham Racing Tips (Sunday 26 April 2026)
Eight races take place at Nottingham, with the action kicking off at 2.13pm. Our best bet on the card lines up in the 3.20pm event.
3.20 Nottingham – Phoenix Moon (1pt win – )
Rossa Ryan rode Phoenix Moon for the first time back at the end of March, with the pair getting a win on the board at Lingfield. They team up again in the 3.20pm at Nottingham and we could well see the same result. Denis Coakley’s charge has only been upped 3lbs for that rise, so whilst he may have top weight in this event, a mark of 64 certainly looks workable. Several line up here out of form, so Phoenix Moon can capitalise on that and notch up a second win on the bounce.
