Newbury Tips (Saturday 18th July 2026)
It’s Weatherbys Super Sprint day at Newbury, with seven races beginning at 1.55pm. Here are the best bets on the card at the Berkshire track.
3.02 Newbury – Binhareer (1pt win – 100/30)
Sixth in the Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot, Binhareer had to give significant weight away to a host of rivals that day, so ran a big race. The William Haggas-trained raider had previously finished runner-up in a hot York handicap. Before that he scorched to victory in the Coral Sprint Trophy at York, so he’s shown he’s in top form. Now lining up in Group 3 company in the Hackwood Stakes at 3.02pm, the Haggas-trained runner could potentially taste victory again. Hugely consistent, he’s one that has more progression to come and he can strike in this competitive event.
3.37 Newbury – Bint Archange (1pt win – 4/1)
Last in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, Bint Archange rocketed back to winning ways in the listed Dragon Stakes at Sandown. Now, the in-form Richard Hughes-trained two-year-old is bidding for a valuable win in the Weatherbys Super Sprint at 3.37pm. This is a whole different test to that Sandown win, and she needs to show she can handle a big field having disappointed slightly at the Royal meeting. But, she showed a fine turn of foot to land that listed event, and she could prove to be a cut above her rivals.
Market Rasen Racing Tips (Saturday 18th July 2026)
Seven races make up Market Rasen’s National Hunt fixture, with the Summer Plate Handicap Chase the highlight at 2.45pm. Our best bet runs in the big race of the day at the Lincolnshire racecourse.
2.45 Market Rasen – Riaan (1pt win – 14/1)
Ballysax Hank won the Summer Plate for Ireland 12 months ago and the Emerald Isle can strike again on Saturday at 2.45pm. Gordon Elliott’s Riaan is a big price to claim the prize, but if he can recapture the form that saw him finish fourth in a red-hot handicap chase at the Punchestown Festival then he looks capable of landing this event. He flopped at Ballinrobe on his last outing, but with first time blinkers and a tongue tie set to aid his chances then the nine-year-old could be a surprise winner of this event.
Curragh Racing Tips (Saturday 18th July 2026)
A thrilling weekend of flat racing takes place at the Curragh on Irish Oaks Weekend. The Group 1 Fillies’ showpiece, the Irish Oaks lights up Saturday’s card and our best bet runs in the 4.35pm feature.
4.35 Curragh – Amelia Earhart (1pt win – 6/1)
Spectacular in the Oaks at Epsom, Thundering On failed to fire in the Pretty Polly Stakes next time out. One that disappointed in the Oaks was Aidan O’Brien’s Amelia Earhart, who is back for another cracking at Joseph O’Brien’s Thundering On here. Amelia Earhart was mightily-impressive when winning at Chester back in May, but struggled in the soft conditions at Epsom. Now back on a sounder surface, she can duly bounce back to form and she can hand the O’Brien team a record-extending ninth win in the race.
