Newmarket Racing Tips (Thursday 25 June 2026)
Six races take place at Newmarket, with a 10.45am start at Flat HQ. Check out the two selections from a competitive-looking card.
11.45 Newmarket – Angel Gabriel (1pt win – 7/4)
Ralph Beckett’s Angel Gabriel finally got his head in front for the first time at Lingfield in the middle of December, and the son of Mehmas can emulate that display on his comeback run in the 11.45am at Newmarket. Twice on his first two starts, he showed notable promise and built on those efforts when winning at Lingfield. Now making his handicap debut, he’s been given a mark of 82. He will need to continue on an upward curve, but has the scope to. Still lightly-raced, he’s one that could continue to rocket up the handicap over the next few months and looks the one to beat.
12.15 Newmarket – Havana Sprite (1pt win – 7/2)
James Tate’s Havana Sprite cruised to victory in a novice stakes at Bath last time out. Sent off an odds-on favourite that day, the daughter of Havana Grey scooted over two lengths clear to show a really decent level of form. She’s progressing nicely and it’s interesting that she steps up in trip for this listed event at 12.15pm. She will need to improve again, if she is to beat the exciting Glorious Game, but she has notably more experience than that rival. She ran right through the line at Bath, so the step up from five to six furlongs shouldn’t be an issue, and she can duly record back-to-back wins.
Nottingham Racing Tips (Thursday 25 June 2026)
Nottingham kick off their six-race card at 10.30am with a 1.00pm finish. We have a brace of selections for another decent Flat fixture.
11.00 Nottingham – Two Plus Two (1pt win – 7/4)
Winless in all 13 starts, Nymphaea is worth taking on in the 11.00am race. The one that can claim this 1m 6f staying contest is the Ed De Giles-trained Two Plus Two. The six-year-old is a winner over this trip, which is a huge positive. He failed to deliver on his last visit to Nottingham and runs off the same mark here. However, many of his rivals have struggled to get their head in front, so whilst he has top weight to carry, Two Plus Two could be the most reliable option.
1.00 Nottingham – Irish Dancer (1pt win – 2/1)
Declan Carroll’s Irish Dancer ran a mighty race to finish second at Thirsk last time out. During that contest he got the better of one of Thursday’s rivals, Invincible Crown, and that form can be franked here. A winner at Catterick three outings ago, Irish Dancer has been hugely consistent in recent times and remaining on the same mark of 57 for this contest looks to have the potential to strike again. Only beaten a short head at Thirsk, he’s one that can continue to blossom on the track and looks the one here.
