Nottingham Racing Tips (Wednesday 8 April 2026)
Eight races take place at Nottingham on Wednesday, with a 1.17pm start. Here are our best bets on the card.
2.57 Nottingham – J Street (1pt win – 4/1)
A competitive 5f 8y sprint takes place at 2.57pm, with several in with a chance. Spendmore Lane and Over Spiced have been running consistently of late, but it’s J Street that makes most appeal for Mick & David Easterby. Rated in the low 80s at his best, he lines up here off 69 and having shown positive signs at Doncaster last time out then has to be respected. Sixth on his last outing, he’s capable of more. He was stopped in his tracks in the closing stages of that Doncaster race, and remaining on the same mark he could well land this prize impressively.
3.32 Nottingham – Dryburgh (1pt win – 13/2)
Oli Rix’s Dryburgh appeared to relish the step up in trip to 1m 2f last time out at Doncaster. Lining up over the same trip in the 3.32pm at Nottingham, the three-year-old can break his maiden tag on Wednesday. It appeared the drop to a mark of 70 and the step up to a mile brought about his best career performance, so tackling ten furlongs again should see him improve again. He remains on a mark of 70, and with the hood remaining on for this contest then he can claim a first win.
Catterick Racing Tips (Wednesday 8 April 2026)
It’s a 1.38pm start at Catterick for an eight-race card on Wednesday. We have another couple of tips at the Yorkshire track to complete the Lucky 15.
2.13 Catterick – Regal Dream (1pt win – 9/2)
Kevin Ryan’s Regal Dream has shown bundles of pace, but the filly is still looking for her first win. Last seen finishing fourth at Redcar, but she’s fallen to an attractive mark of 58 and could strike in the 2.13pm at Catterick. Drawn in stall 1, she’s sure to be up on the pace from the outset. If she can maintain it through the middle stages of the race then she could be tough to catch and in receipt of weight from all her rivals looks the one to be with.
3.23 Catterick – Farandaway (1pt win – 4/1)
Grant Tuer’s Farandaway rocketed to an eye-catching three-and-a-half length win at Newcastle last month in a maiden event. Now returning to the handicap sphere, the 70-rated performer will look to carry top weight to victory in the 3.23pm. Prior to that maiden success he was running well in handicap company, so he has to be respected. This is much tougher than his last assignment, but he lines up in form and can make it back-to-back wins.
