Punchestown Racing Tips (Thursday 30 April 2026)
Eight races get under way at 2.30pm at Punchestown, but you have to wait until 4.50pm for Andrew’s best bet on the card.
4.50 Punchestown – Come Walk With Me (1pt e/w– 5-1 Sky Bet, Paddy Power, 9/2 generally with the other firms paying five places)
Come Walk With Me clocked a very fast time when slamming Moudan by ten lengths in a Listed novices’ handicap chase at Fairyhouse earlier this month, form that has been franked by the runner-up who hacked up by 11 lengths in a premier handicap chase at Ayr on his next start. Ed Cawley’s seven-year-old was making his handicap chase debut that day, has form on similar going to today’s and should have plenty more to offer. Grand Annual sixth Ballysax Hank has to be of interest given his record in the March to October period of 252122U1523116 (4-14) but the Gavin Cromwell horses are not running well enough for my liking.
Southwell Racing Tips (Thursday 30 April 2026)
Southwell hold an all-weather fixture on Thursday, with Andrew opting for an eye-catching selection in the 5.17pm contest.
5.17 Southwell – Nymphaea (1pt win – 100/30 bet365, 3/1 generally)
Progeny of the sire Kameko have a modest strike-rate on the Tapeta surface at Southwell but Nymphaea finished a close second over this trip on her latest course outing and the presence of Henry Callan in the saddle makes her worth a punt. Callan has an amazing recent record, scoring on 13 of his 25 mounts since August 1st last year (52% strike-rate) for a profit of £37.04 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 4.83, A/E = 2.69).
Lingfield Racing Tips (Thursday 30 April 2026)
Another eight races take place at Lingfield Park, but you have to wait for the last race on the card at 6.10pm for Andrew’s best bet at the meeting.
6.10 Lingfield – Upepo (1pt win – 4/1 Sky Bet, Paddy Power, 7/2 generally)
Upepo has form figures on Lingfield’s Polytrack of 1131620714 (5-11) for a profit of £12.00 to a £1 level stake at SP, including form figures in Class 6 company of 11311 (4-5) for a profit of £15.75. The third place was easily excused as it came in a strange “hands and heels” apprentice race won by 28-1 outsider of five Certain Style who was allowed to saunter into a long early lead and stayed there. Tony Carroll’s gelding would have been second that day had Mason Paetel not ducked up in the inside in the closing stages and he looks value against short-priced favourite Divot.
