Bath Racing Tips (Tuesday 26 May 2026)
Andrew’s selection at Bath runs in a sprint series qualifier among the track’s six-race card.
4.00 Bath – Over Spiced (1pt win – 7-1 888sport, 13-2 generally)
Over Spiced was a winner for this column when landing a 5f handicap at Bath on May 4th and her subsequent Windsor fifth to Correspondence (re-opposes today) can be forgiven as she disputed the strong early pace on the ‘dead’ inside rail when it was a big advantage to challenge late/wide (first three drawn 7, 6 and 5 of 7, once adjusted for the non-runners). Grace Harris’s four-year-old can usually be relied upon to run her race in the month of May, recording form figures of 1511215 (4-7) for a profit of £11.50 to a £1 level stake at SP, improving to 11121 (4-5) at tracks other than Windsor. The return to Bath is an obvious positive today and, hopefully, Ashley Lewis won’t engage in an early pace wear with fellow front-runner Candy Warhol, who is vulnerable given his 0-10 record on turf.
Plumpton Racing Tips (Tuesday 26 May)
Across a card of small fields for Plumpton’s evening jumps meeting, Andrew has a tip in race five of seven.
7.39 Plumpton – Sea Invasion (1pt win – 9-4 generally)
Sea Invasion has lost all 12 starts away from Plumpton but his six runs at the Sussex venue have produced form figures of 121151 (4-6) for a profit of £6.95 to a £1 level stake at SP. In Class 4 company only his Plumpton record improves to 1111 (4-4), with the wins at odds of 7-2, 9-4, 2-1 and 6-5. The risk today is that he’s reverting to hurdles after scoring over fences on April 19th but Anthony Honeyball’s runners are profitable to back blindly under these conditions (+£12.55 to a £1 level stake at SP) and he’s worth a bet.
