Salisbury Tips (Wednesday 12th August 2026)
A six-race card at Salisbury begins at 2.30pm, with the action going right through until 5pm. The feature race on the card is the listed Stonehenge Stakes at 3.30pm, and we have a selection for that contest, as well as the other listed event, the Upavon Fillies’ Stakes at 4.30pm.
3.00 Salisbury – An Outlaw’s Grace (1pt win – 15/2)
Richard Hannon’s An Outlaw’s Grace has failed to get his head in front since winning his maiden, but he has shaped like he could be capable off his current mark. He found trouble in running at Windsor last time out, when fourth. Dropped a further 1lb to a mark of 78, the Dandy Man gelding could well be capable of landing a blow in a really competitive 3.00pm contest. Only seven go to post, but plenty will fancy their chances, but the Hannon charge can land a second career win in his 16th race.
3.30 Salisbury – Firehorse (1pt win – 7/1)
Unbeaten in two starts, Charlie Appleby’s Quest For Stars is entitled to be a warm order for the listed Stonehenge Stakes at 3.30pm. However, the Godolphin raider will face his toughest test to date and could be vulnerable. Firehorse for Sean Woods and Tom Marquand is of interest, as he caught the eye in the listed Pat Eddery Stakes at Sandown last time out. He was behind another of Wednesday’s rivals Dandyman Dan that day, but did have his momentum halted in the closing stages that day. The Cotai Glory colt was staying on well that day, so the step up to 1m here should suit and he could go well.
4.30 Salisbury – Felicitas (1pt win – 6/4)
Ed Walker’s Felicitas booked her place in the Musidora Stakes at York following two taking wins at Lingfield and Sandown. She could only finish second that day at York to top-class filly Legacy Link, but has shown a really high level of form. She was outclassed in Group 1 company in France on her last start, but she drops into much calmer waters on Wednesday in the 4.30pm at Salisbury. This listed contest is likely to provide her with a confidence-boosting win before she looks to venture back into Group company at the end of the season.
Beverley Tips (Wednesday 12th August 2026)
Six races take place at Beverley on Wednesday, with a 2.15pm start. Our best bet runs in the 4.15pm contest, which is run over 1m 1f 207y.
4.15 Beverley – Princess Niyla (1pt win – 11/2)
Now 5lbs lower than her last winning mark, Princess Niyla could have the perfect opportunity to break a long losing run. She shaped with significant promise when third at Doncaster on her last outing, and she runs off the same figure of 60 here. She already has a course and distance victory on her CV at Beverley, and a return to the Yorkshire track for the 4.15pm could work wonders for her. The Night Of Thunder mare is hard to catch right, but everything is made up for a strong challenge for victory.
