Stratford Racing Tips (Sunday 19 April 2026)
Stratford hosts a seven-race jumps card on Sunday, with Andrew’s selection running in the second race.
2.33 Stratford – Scudamore (1pt win – 11/2 bet365)
Scudamore hasn’t won since scoring over the extended 2m2f trip here in April 2023 but had every chance when falling at the last flight in a 15-runner 2m6f handicap hurdle here last May and is 5lb lower today. The Jennie Candlish-trained nine-year-old has won two of his three starts in April, stays this sort of trip and though bombing out at Sedgefield last time could improve for the first-time visor. His trainer has a great record when using this headgear on her jumpers, scoring with six of 25 chasers (+£34.00 to a £1 level stake at SP) and seven of the 22 hurdlers (+£34.25). I’ve saved on Seahouses for whom the booking of Gavin Sheehan looks significant.
Curragh Racing Tips (Sunday 19 April 2026)

3.35 Curragh – Royal Rhyme (1pt win – 3/1 William Hill, 11/4 Ladbrokes, Coral)
Karl Burke hit form with a vengeance on Saturday, and his Royal Rhyme is taken to keep the ball rolling in the 1m2f Group 3 Alleged Stakes. The six-year-old son of Lope De Vega has been off the track since late May when a 20-1 fifth over course and distance behind Los Angeles in the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup but is capable of running well when fresh and the drop in class, combined with the soft going, is key. His record below Group 2 level on ground described as good to soft or softer reads 11111 (5-5).
