2.30 Newton Abbot – FORGOT TO ASK (1pt win – 10/1 generally)

Spring horse FORGOT TO ASK travelled well for a long way prior to his 33-1 sixth of 12 at Kempton on May 1 when I put him up as a bet and he should improve for that run, his first for 152 days. His full record from March to May now reads 1313311116 (6-10) for a profit of £23.10 to a £1 level stake at SP and he looks worth a small interest in this less competitive contest.

6.20 Cartmel – CITY VAULTS (1pt win – 12/1 Bet365, 11/1 generally)

Jimmy Moffatt has a cracking record at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, scoring with 12 of the 56 qualifiers since 2015 for a profit of £99.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. CITY VAULTS, a dual winner on the Flat for David O’Meara, changed hands for £24,000 last autumn and can make a winning start for his new connections.
